iPhone: iPhone sync and data transfer

Here are some details of the iPhone sync with Outlook and your own data: an iPhone is different from Computers are supplied with content, whether Mac or PC. As it stands, should be given every tab in the iPhone-View can be operated by iTunes from a different source. But this means that all elements must come as within the "Info" tabs from the same device: address book, calendar, mail accounts, and bookmarks.

bad I want to sync only the calendar from the Windows installation or from Outlook or Exchange. Address book and bookmarks but I want to take over from my home Mac. Although one can activate iTunes when syncing in both the items from the "Info" tab, but it appears a message like "... are synchronized with a different user account ..." and you have to decide whether you want to merge information or not. I'm doing now containing only sporadically an update from the addresses and bookmarks.

are sometimes from Windows iTunes an error message when the iPhone pocketing. A restart of iTunes or the iPhone almost always helps ...

mails I have not yet synchronized to now, I use my G-mail account via IMAP when I'm on the road. can

An iPhone is indeed not (yet) to use as a USB stick. But via e-mail can still store documents on the iPhone: send files to an e-mail to the iPhone this account. It will make them available offline (for IMAP after the first Open). In G-mail can be send by 'marked' marked and they are found then the mail program in the folder [Gmail] / Starred .

The iPhone has a viewer for the following document types: PDF, Word, Excel, Plain Text, HTML, but no PowerPoint and RTF not . Other formats I have not tested ... The presentation is not 100%, but pretty good.

What I still missing: a practical way to get my notes from the P910 and Outlook to synchronize with the iPhone - anybody has an idea?
