Colorful Tech Deck Trucks

VMware version 2.0

Now she is here, the version 2.0 of VMware Fusion !

New: Default Folder (desktop, music, etc.) from Windows and Mac OS can synchronize [1], and Internet links in Windows can be left open as always with Safari, and many more. For details see the report of MacNews or Release Notes .

My first impressions:
    My
  • running Windows XP in the VM much faster than previously : the inertia and the second long freezes largely are partially disappeared.
  • You come now to the dock when the VM is running in full screen mode.
  • Now there is a counterpart to Smart Select Parallels (must be activated first in the settings of the VM so that it funtktioniert).
[1] At the moment I mount my Mac desktop folder in the Virtual Machine as a drive (eg via shared folders in VMware), which is also very practical - it thus maintains two separate desktops and still have easy access to it.

Things To Say In A Get Well Card

new VPN solution with Juniper

Now it is as far as the name used by us ( Mac-unfriendly ) CheckPoint VPN infrastructure has been replaced by a new solution from Juniper . Although there are also no proper Mac client, but everything is web based so that all internal web applications and at least indirectly (upload / download) can access the shares . We can live with it, especially since we have been tightened the rules for the 'native' VPN access significantly.
