passages from one application to another using cut-and- to incorporate the paste, makes most every time. annoying in certain situations is the fact that not only the text, but is also adopted its format in the target application.
I call two typical cases from my professional life where I just want to avoid this as far as possible to the existing formatting of the destination application not to mess up:
- text passages that someone sent to me via e-mail , to the editor of the editorial system TYPO3 are taken
- I write an e-mail and take over parts of the text, derived from e-mails from other people
One way , get rid of the unwanted formatting, is an intermediate copy the text to the Windows own editor notepad.exe. If in notepad.exe then Ctrl + A and then pressed Ctrl + C, one has the text on the clipboard without formatting.
